Infinity Trading Co Pty Ltd own and run the Georgetown Roadhouse and the Georgetown Post Office. Owner Carmen Ryan was facing challenges creating a social media strategy and increasing their social media presence.
With the help of the Digital Solutions program and through the development of a Digital Action Plan, Carmen has been able to develop and start implementing a social media strategy as well as include the business listing on the Australian Tourist Data Warehouse.
With the support of the Regional Business HQ team Carmen was able to develop a strategy to increase her social media presence and implement that with the assistance of her mentors throughout the program. Additionally, Carmen was able to review her email marketing and is now able to better communicate with local customers about the delivery of essential services, such as medication, and with tourists about the services that are offered in town.
“We are in a very isolated spot and during the wet season it’s important that we can update our customers about when groceries and other essential items are coming in through our freight depot. Additionally, this can assist with tourists who are looking to come to the area, so they know what services are offered in the town.”

Carmen has also attended some workshops in Georgetown, which have helped build her knowledge and confidence to increase her business profile online and reach more potential customers.
The guidance Carmen received through Digital Solutions is helping her reach goals of increasing the online profile of the business and streamlining the ability to send out bulk communications to customers.
